New
Cross Web Radio is
a southeastlondon.org media project. New Cross Web radio
archives and redistributes music, spoken word, information
and entertainment
for uncommercial use worldwide. New Cross Web Radio promotes
the exchange of local music, culture and information
in a global context and under Open Content Licenses. In a
global media age, New Cross Web Radio interlinks different
cultures
locally and globally and accepts content from all over the
world. At the moment, New Cross Web Radio is "podcasting" just
one local radio show. New Cross Web Radio does only play
uncommercial content. This requires the consent of the copyright
holder(s),
to license and publish the respective file for uncommercial
use only, and under a Creative Commons
License. Under this license, for example, a user can
listen to, download, copy and even redistribute a file, as
long as this is for uncommercial use and, when copying, always
refers the original copyright holder to the file. To protect
artistic, journalistic and scientific autonomy, a user can
not change a file (as a unit) or extract parts of it (this
does not affect fair use). All files on the New Cross Web
Radio database exclude commercial use. In doubt, please contact
the
copyright holder. For more license details go to Creative
Commons Attribution NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5.
The prime aim in the longer run is to compile
a local online audio archive under a Creative
Commons License. This
archive can then be used...
1. to share,
search and download music and other
files
2. to produce local audio projects, like podcasts or other uncommercial
projects
3. as a database for a streaming web radio
