Around 33000 runners from all over the world have taken part in the London Marathon 2005. With the support of many thousands along the track, the participants started in the morning in Greenwich, and, under the applause of the spectators, passed Deptford Creek Road and Evelyn Street, to head towards Tower Bridge and Central London. Unlike the rainy last competition (Marathon 2004), this year's Marathon was held under a clear and cloudless sky.
